Role Purpose:
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for managing changes on Amdocs MEC (Master Enterprise Catalogue), Customer Notifications and Amdocs frontend and backend applications supporting ordering, billing and Vodafone Communications functions.
The successful candidate will become a generalist on these systems and help drive accurate and efficient solutions.
The Key purpose of the role is to be integral member of the Business Configuration team working with:
Business owners to understand the business requirements
Value stream owners to provide VROMs for the purpose of sizing projects / asks
Business and technical architects to focus on the correct and efficient solution
Team members to continually drive efficiencies and improve ways of working
Programme managers and Project managers to help define timelines and configuration impacts for projects
Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:
As part of the IT/Technology group, you will work as an analyst in the Business Systems Configuration team and support the configuration elements, data gathering and system and business analysis.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Understand the Business requirements and Product suite to facilitate timely capture of product enhancements and implementation of same
Manage the interactions with the business, documenting the high level business requirement securing sign offs before mobilisation
Determine high level scope using their own initiative and working collaboratively with Architects, business and vendors
Manage VROM/Estimations on high-level scope for analysis, data gathering and configuration & test. Determine project type BAU/Multi-vendor projects helping demand planning
Work collaboratively with Architects, business and vendors to determine low-level configuration requirements from the high-level scope
Ensure that the Business Solution Configuration team is well represented at the demand stage for all relevant changes
Create Data gathering JIRA requests for the data gathering team using signed off requirements and initiate mobilisation
Support project management with timely and high quality planning input, reporting, change, issue, risk and dependency management
Support Test and Deployment phases as Product specialist
Accountable end to end for the integrity of the Configuration Design
Provide 2nd level support to data gathering team on incidents and defects
Provide test support, through review of test approach / strategies
We Are Looking For You, If You Have:
Growth mindset
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Some technical understanding of mobile products and services
Good interpersonal skills and be able to build a good working relationship with all areas within IT – Demand, Delivery, Operations and Vendors
Some knowledge of Telecoms products and CRM Systems
Experience of requirements gathering through various techniques
An understanding of Amdocs CRM Platform and Amdocs MEC would be highly beneficial
Experience of JIRA would be highly beneficial
Additionally
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecom Engineering or IT discipline Telecoms Product Design
Analytics skills and Technical Writing
Familiar with Agile delivery methods
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Visio, JIRA
