This permanent position offers a commercially driven opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or one with up to 5 years of experience to develop their career and contribute to the growth and success of the business.
This office-based role includes a hybrid option, which may be discussed after the probation period. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly financial packages, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
* Management of day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including reviewing and signing off payments, preparing payment runs, and managing cash.
* Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
* Reviewing and submitting Value-Added Tax returns.
* Managing monthly bank reconciliations.
* Budget and cash flow preparation.
* Preparation of year-end accounts files and liaison with external accountants and tax consultants for statutory accounts and annual tax returns.
* Seasonal operational management reporting.
* Continued improvement of internal systems and controls.
* Other ad hoc projects and duties as required.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant necessary.
* 0-3 years post-qualification experience in practice or industry.
* Strong technical accounting skills.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Aptitude to learn, willingness to progress, and ability to assume responsibility.
* Strong business acumen.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with senior management.
* Ability to work independently.
