Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Renewal Sales Manager to join our European Renewal Sales team. In this role, you will lead a team of Renewal Sales Specialists managing the renewal process for existing customers, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and upsell opportunities. You will act as coach and mentor for your team, peer to field sales leaders and stakeholders in the partner ecosystem, and key contributor to the EMEA renewal sales and customer success organisation.
Job Responsibilities
1. Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to maximize customer retention and minimize churn. Manage relationships with key accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
2. Renewal Sales: Oversee the renewal sales process for a portfolio of customers, ensuring timely and accurate renewals. Coach team members to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive additional revenue.
3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of renewal sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve individual and team targets.
4. Data Analysis: Analyse customer data and market trends to identify risks and opportunities. Use insights to inform strategies and improve renewal rates.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Customer Success, Sales, Support Account Management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment on business objectives.
6. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on renewal performance, including key metrics, forecasts, and action plans to senior management.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve renewal processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to drive results.
8. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers through various channels (phone, email, virtual meetings) to understand their needs, address concerns, and reinforce the value of our solutions.
Job Requirements
1. Fluency in English is required. Additional European languages are a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewal sales, account management, or a related field, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry. Experience managing a team is highly desirable.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels of an organisation.
4. Bachelor's degree in a business or technology related subject, or relevant industry experience.
5. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools. Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
7. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
8. Willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
