Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the general ledgers accounts, managing the group balance sheet, and driving improvements across financial processes.
This role requires a hands-on, process-driven individual with strong stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Full Management Accounts:Prepare and review accurate and timely full management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.Provide key insights and analysis on business performance to senior management.Balance Sheet Management (Group):Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of the group's balance sheet.Ensure accurate reporting of balance sheet items and maintain strong internal controls for asset and liability management.Enhance Order-to-Cash Cycle:Streamline the end-to-end order-to-cash process to improve collections and reduce working capital needs.Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to optimize billing and credit control.Improve Procure-to-Pay Process:Evaluate and enhance the procure-to-pay process to ensure timely payments and improve supplier management.Implement cost-saving measures where applicable and maintain strong controls over procurement activities.Improve Accounts Receivable (AR) Efficiency:Manage and drive improvements in AR collections, ensuring timely invoice payments.Set targets for reducing overdue balances and improving DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).Document and Standardize Financial Processes:Develop and maintain standardized procedures for accounting processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness.Document key processes such as revenue recognition, cost allocations, and reporting.Assisting Junior Staff:Provide mentoring and guidance to junior finance team members, promoting their professional development.Review their work and offer constructive feedback to maintain high-quality output.Qualifications:Mandatory:Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).4+ years of experience in a high-growth business.Strong accounting experience, including preparing full management accounts and balance sheet management.Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.Desirable:Experience working in a PE-backed company with exposure to investor reporting.Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and automation tools.Skills:Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
