Manufacturing Manager
A highly experienced Manufacturing Manager is required to lead our North Cork based Client, a leading supplier of process equipment and services to the biopharma manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise production line flow, including testing, adjusting staffing and equipment to ensure timely start-up and maintenance of production schedules.
* Manage and oversee production activities performed by manufacturing personnel while maintaining high visibility and access throughout shifts.
* Continuously evaluate manufacturing operations to identify improvements through effective metrics, capital allocation, personnel development, and operational standards.
* Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain quality standards, addressing deficiencies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Work closely with the scheduler to ensure adequate staffing aligns with business needs.
* Train, motivate, coach, reward, and resolve issues within the manufacturing area to foster a cohesive team environment.
* Enforce all safety policies, ensuring all manufacturing staff completes required safety training. Investigate accidents promptly and accurately.
* Resolve production-related issues with representatives from other departments across the company.
* Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing manufacturing tasks; appraising performance; and rewarding or disciplining employees as necessary.
* Play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (Level 8) preferred but not essential.
* 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Experience with capacity planning from a people and equipment perspective.
* Able to train and motivate employees to create high-quality products, increase KPIs, and enhance plant profitability.
* Experience with high-volume manufacturing operations.
