Medforce have an opportunity available for a CORU registered Social Worker to join a well-established team in North Dublin.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for a CORU registered Social Worker to join a friendly, robust Children-in-Care team or the Assessment and Intervention team.
Children in Care Team – The role involves supporting and advocating for children in the care system, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional development. The successful candidate will manage caseloads, work closely with foster families, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to care planning and review processes. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to child-centered practices are essential. This position requires a thorough understanding of child protection, care legislation, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families.
Assessment and Intervention Team – In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths, and develop targeted intervention plans to ensure child safety and well-being. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide direct support to families, and make informed decisions to safeguard vulnerable children. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in child protection, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families during challenging times.
In this role you will be given regular supervision and you will be supported closely by your colleagues.
Contract: A specified Purpose contract beginning at 6 months with a view to extend, full-time 35 hours, Monday – Friday. Plus 29 days paid holidays and 10 bank holidays.
Essential Criteria:
* A recognised qualification in Social Work (Level 8)
* Registration with CORU essential
* Experience working with children in the system
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, initiative, teamwork and time management skills
* Knowledge of policy, legislation and best practice guidelines relevant to social work practice issues.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
