This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity for someone to hit the ground running with proven capability and expertise in the following areas:
1. Advising on Risk Management Frameworks
2. Developing and implementing rolling Assurance Programmes
3. Protective Security Requirements (PSR)
4. Supporting Audit and Risk Committees
5. Corporate Policy Frameworks and Development
6. Business Continuity
7. People Leadership
You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a related field and bring your expertise in New Zealand’s risk management, assurance and security principles and practice - including PSR framework and an understanding of the three lines of defence assurance model.
You’ll be a well-developed communicator and have a natural confidence leading and engaging with people, along with the ability to convey complex information across a wide audience.
You’re a strategic thinker, with a keen eye for detail and analysis – a natural problem solver.
Professional Certifications may include:
1. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
2. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
3. Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
Your background and expertise may include a mix of the following:
1. Previous Local Government or Public Sector expertise, along with a political awareness
2. Proven knowledge of New Zealand’s Risk Management, Assurance and Security principles and practice regulatory environment and compliance requirements
3. Internal audit and compliance
