The Role is a customer-facing and technical position with a primary focus on delivering key customer features to production. The Customer Architect builds strong relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture.
We are looking for a Customer Architect who is highly technically proficient, an excellent communicator, and has a strong customer orientation. This role requires confidence in advising our own project team and customers on matters of design, product enhancements, optimisation, and implementation, while being commercially aware and able to make sound judgement calls.

Key Responsibilities:
* Taking a leadership role within the implementation team to deliver our product per customer requirements, driving architectural decisions and best practices – delivering on time.
* Providing consultancy services to our customers as they use our product.
* Managing the customer solutions & system architecture.
* Translating business requirements into system-level design and detailed technical architecture documents in a clear, professional manner.
* Identifying product enhancements required and actively informing product management of the business value.
* Working with our Operations team to analyse the performance of our systems in a production environment and evaluate enhancements to our product for performance and cost benefits.
* Contributing and agreeing on a strategic customer roadmap in collaboration with the leadership team.
* Contributing to the long-term development of our product suite.
* Identifying opportunities for and driving Continuous Improvement activities.
Experience Required:
* Customer Facing Experience in previous roles required.
* Experience with presenting at C-level.
* Proven ability to operate within a multi-locational delivery team environment with both onsite and remote engagement. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* E-Commerce (retail) industry experience and/or experience in high transaction volume or mission-critical cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Must be able to deliver high-quality customer-facing documentation.
* Be a self-starter, have a strong problem-solving aptitude and do not accept the status quo.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
* 7+ years in application design and development.
* Expert in some of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, SOA, JBoss, Tomcat, JDBC, SOAP, REST, OOD/OOA, .NET, HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery, React.
* Experience working with database systems such as Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB.
* Must be able and willing to travel to other Datalex offices and Customer sites periodically.
* Knowledge of the Airline industry is an advantage but not necessary.
