Additionally, you will act as a strategic business partner to the site leadership team.The position will report to Supply Chain Finance Leader- Contrast Media and based on site, at GE Healthcare facility Carrigtwohill, Cork and be a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesManage P&L and balance sheet activities, including cost accounting, inventory controls (PI, Revals, standards, variances, etc.), product fulfilment and COGS booking, functional costs, VCP/BCP, P&E, etc.To challenge existing practice, while also respecting regulatory compliance. Key focus areas are: building and maintaining a culture of cost control and accountability, predictable execution: transparent estimate processes and ‘no surprises’ in quarterly financial close.Pursuing process & productivity improvements in financial and operational processes.Member of the Site leadership team, providing:site performance analytics,cost – benefit analysis,support on capital expenditure,advising the SLT team on risks and opportunities to the site operating plan.Ownership for developing site estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews – includes Strategy Roadmap (2028 roadmap), Budget (1-year Plan).Partners with Controllership with respect to the completion of the annual financial statements and driving continuous improvement within our Finance Centre of Excellence (COE) teams.Effectively manage and develop a team of 2, determine clear roles & responsibilities, coach, identify and action development needs.Develop and improve financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools, budgeting and estimating processes, standard Production Cost set ups and analyses, Capital Investment.Ensures standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational and transactional processes impacting the financial statements, including closing, reporting and analysis are established Support operations leaders/teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions and other matters by providing GEHC expertise and technical accounting guidance to both finance and non-finance colleaguesWork closely with functional leadership to pro-actively assess and manage financial riskDesired SkillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex business issues clearly and concisely. Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change. Experience leading in a manufacturing environment.Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
