The Senior Associate is responsible for the daily supervision of the Transfer Agency team, ensuring an efficient and responsive service to clients and investors while maintaining full compliance with internal controls and procedures.
Job Description Principal Accountabilities
* Day-to-day supervision of the Transfer Agency team's daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables.
* Monitoring and tracking team activity against shared mailboxes and assisting the team with queries.
* Identifying key priorities within the team on a daily basis and assigning tasks accordingly to ensure delivery of all tasks.
* Managing day-to-day relationships with clients, escalating issues to their Manager when required.
* Closely liaising with the AML team to review and monitor anti-money laundering documentation in line with policies and procedures.
* Ensuring all incoming and outgoing investor cash monies are reconciled and verified against investor documents for source of funds.
* Participating in weekly client calls and providing updates on key focus areas, including upcoming activity planning, investor cash-related updates, and projects.
* Understanding Private Markets nuances and reporting requirements, including Investor Closes, Distributions, and Capital Calls.
* Performing day-to-day performance management of the team, one-to-one meetings, and annual performance cycle, ensuring development and review of staff against goals.
* Serving as a point of escalation for technical and client queries, providing an efficient and swift service to investors.
* Fostering and acting as a role model to build risk awareness within the team.
* Seeking greater productivities in the team through process improvements and automation where applicable.
Context of the Role
The Senior Associate will take on a review function, covering trade, cash, EOD, reporting checklists, and online e-checklists.
The Senior Associate has full accountability for the reviews completed on work done by the A1s & A2s.
Relationships
* Subordinates: Engage in one-to-one meetings with direct reports, coaching team members, and serving as a point of escalation.
* Superiors: Provide direct support for managers and regular status updates to managers.
* External: Build client and investor relationships, ensuring client deliverables are met.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification and/or 2 years' level experience in the financial services industry.
* Client Service experience preferred.
* Private Markets knowledge preferred.
* Experience working under tight deadlines, multi-tasking, and remaining calm under pressure.
