Staff Nurse - Intensive Care Unit
To deliver exceptional care in the Intensive Care Unit, we are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.
* Conduct nursing assessments, summarize data, and identify patient care needs.
* Implement individualized care plans for newly admitted patients.
* Deliver designated nursing interventions consistent with medical plans of care.
* Notify nursing and medical staff of any changes in patient status.
Clinical Responsibilities:
* Familiarity with The Professional Scope of Practice Framework (NMBI 2000).
* Conduct individual assessments of patient needs and implement care plans.
* Involve patients' families and significant others in care as appropriate.
Managerial Responsibilities:
* Communicate any issues to the Nurse Manager promptly.
* Maintain confidence and competence in hospital policies and guidelines.
* Efficiently manage documentation and handle complaints.
Personal & Professional Responsibilities:
* Maintain a professional portfolio and utilize opportunities for patient and family education.
* Attend relevant study days and courses.
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: NMBI Registered General Nurse license.
* Experience: Preferred: 1 year of critical care experience.
* Competencies and Knowledge: Teamwork, Communication, Planning and Organizing, Recent experience in a specialized area within an acute hospital setting, Knowledge of new developments and national strategies related to nursing care.
This role requires a dedicated and compassionate nurse who can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, communicate effectively, and maintain up-to-date certifications in BLS and ACLS.
