Construction Project Manager in the Public Sector
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our client's Capital & Estates Department in West Dublin. The successful candidate will oversee minor and major capital works, tendering projects, managing contractors, and communicating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Arrange for specifications, drawings, and contract documents preparation, developing proposals with selected design teams and contractors.
* Develop action plans for timely and efficient contract completion, coordinating with the design team, site supervisory staff, and hospital personnel.
* Supervise staff and contractors in implementing agreed programs, working with service management and nurse planners.
* Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards and resolving issues.
* Oversee project expenditures, presenting financial updates and forecasts to senior management and the Project Board.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and advise on the selection and procurement of Design Teams and Contractors.
Requirements
* Hold a Level 8 Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute.
* Membership of the relevant professional association (SCSI, RICS, Engineers Ireland, RIAI) or eligibility for registration under the Building Control Act 2007.
* High level of knowledge and experience in construction, building services, and maintenance requirements.
* Leadership and team management skills, effective communication skills, and ability to motivate and manage staff.
