HVAC Engineer Location: Ringaksiddy, Co Cork Duration: Permanent Hours: 39 Hours per week Overview of the role: The HVAC engineer will be part of the Veolia site team at our clients site in Ringaskiddy.
He/she will liaise with the contract team, client engineering, equipment vendors and service providers to ensure maximum uptime of utilities plant and equipment within the contract scope, and that equipment is following all regulatory, statutory and client corporate requirements.
Day to day of the role: Oversight of all HVAC day to day operational activities.
Ensuring compliance with all site requirements in relation to HVAC planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Building and maintaining customer focus and relations on site ensuring issues are responded to in a timely manner.
Assist the HVAC contractor in troubleshooting and problem solving when required.
Liaise with contractors on site and ensure all works are completed to the site standards.
Compile projects scopes and estimates.
Implement projects to the highest standards, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Generate Design Change documentation and complete all change control to site standard including P+IDs.
Complete quality test plans and relevant documentation.
Coordinating all Temperature Mapping and Transport Studies ensuring timely completion.
Liaise with Quality to prepare and participate in internal and external audits.
Ensure HVAC asset replacement strategy is maintained and up to date Assist with on-site deviations, CAPAs, Risk assessments and RCIs Survey and implementation of energy reduction programmes and projects on site.
Complete BBS walk downs on behalf of the Technical Services group Drive reliability engineering and reliability centred maintenance (RCM).
Trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures - root cause analysis.
Compliance/quality engineering - recording and investigation of deviations on qualified utility plant and equipment, using client's quality system.
Identifying, liaising with, and co-ordination of Service Providers and suppliers on site He/she will ensure that all maintenance, preventative and unplanned, of assigned equipment/systems is completed on schedule, within budget, in a safe and satisfactory manner and all necessary documentation completed.
Supporting site contract maintenance team in minimizing downtime and risk of downtime to facility Required skills for this role: Engineering degree or trade equivalent, preferably mechanical or building services 3 + years' post graduate experience Previous HVAC experience essential Has an understanding/awareness of working with Atex / Hazardous Area equipment Self-motivation, ability to work alone and as part of team Good communication and interpersonal skills Computer Skills (Excel, Word etc) Please note: ?If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.
