Head Chef/Deli Manager (daytime hours only)
Thriving Deli in Drumshanbo seeking a Head Chef/Deli Manager to join their highly successful store.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people and kitchen management skills and excel in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. They will ideally hold extensive deli/cheffing experience with a flair for making creative and tasty menus.
Salary: €40,000 - €44,000 (based on 40 hour week or pro-rata as appropriate)
Hours: Daytime only Monday – Saturday (actual hours can be discussed and agreed). Start: Immediately
Responsibilities include:
1. Preparation of hot and cold deli foods for deli counter and ‘to go’ fridges
2. Create new menu options as per food trends
3. Ensure store standards across the entire Deli Department are at the highest level at all times
4. Day to day management of a busy deli department, ensuring customer satisfaction and service are exceptional at all times
5. Ensure the compliance of the store to all legislation as pertains to the store including HACCP, Health and Safety, Food Safety etc.
6. Manage, train and develop a team of staff
7. Hold regular communication with all Staff and Senior Management
8. Achieve all targets as set by Senior Management
Requirements include:
1. Experience working in a retail deli/fresh food/cheffing environment
2. Must be fully HACCP and Food Safety trained
3. Ability to manage, train and develop a team of staff
4. Proven record in achieving targets such as sales whilst keeping costs down
5. Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
6. Must have a passion for and understanding of food and the grocery retail business
