Senior FP&A Projects Accountant (Full Time)

Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior FP&A & Projects Accountant to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and business performance analysis. In this role, you will act as a key business partner, providing financial insights that drive profitability, cost efficiency, and commercial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling skills, experience in costing and commercial finance, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop multi-year financial models, prepare annual budgets and update quarterly forecasts/outlooks to support strategic decision-making & funding.
Project Financial Management & Project Application Support: Support the project management team in tracking of project budgets, costs, and financial progress, ensuring alignment with company goals and liaising with the finance team on revenue recognition. Ongoing support on funding applications and submissions.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with technical, production and commercial teams to provide financial insights, optimise pricing strategies, and influence senior management to help drive business performance –helping to ensure high quality financial decisions are made. Evaluate business cases for new projects, investments, and capital expenditures.
Costing & Performance Analysis: Work with capacity planning and production to provide recommendations for product costing. Analyse revenue, direct costs, and margins across products, services, and business units to identify opportunities for efficiency. Monitor and improve cost structures, ensuring financial sustainability.
Promote Financial Awareness & Support: Initiate projects to support the cultivation of a culture of financial literacy to support prudent fiscal decision-making throughout the organisation, empowering employees at all levels to make informed, strategic choices that drive sustainable growth and long-term financial success.
Risk & Opportunity Management: Assess financial risks, market trends, and business opportunities to support sustainable growth.
Ad hoc projects: Support the CFO/CEO on securing funding, reporting and other strategic initiatives. Support the finance team in ad hoc process and system related projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
Exceptionally strong financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis skills.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Excel, Power BI, and financial systems and forecasting systems).
Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Years of experience in commercial finance and FP&A and industry experience in manufacturing and project is a big plus.
