Leisure Club Attendant - Qualified Lifeguard
We are seeking a highly motivated Leisure Club Assistant - Qualified Lifeguard to join our team at Clayton Hotel Sligo.
Our Club Vitae Health and Fitness Club is a leading fitness and swimming facility, boasting a gym with state-of-the-art Precor equipment, a range of challenging and enjoyable fitness classes, a 20-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and the Essence Spa, our home of wellness.
About the Role
As a Lifeguard/Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our members and guests, working closely with our Leisure Centre Manager to deliver an exceptional experience.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety and security of our facilities at all times.
* Sell membership packages and provide excellent customer service.
* Address customer complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to senior management as necessary.
* Be flexible and adapt to changing situations, providing assistance where needed.
* Maintain the general safety and well-being of our members and residents, preventing injury, misuse, and damage to the facility.
* Report any incidents requiring medical attention or breaches of pool discipline to the manager.
* Take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of those around you.
* Open and close the facilities, ensuring they are secure and ready for use.
* Handle bookings, cash, and maintain the reception area in a clean and organized condition.
* Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including public areas, changing rooms, showers, steam room, sauna, pool surrounds, gym, and aerobics studio.
* Follow all written procedures and guidelines.
* Conduct fitness assessments and develop personalized training programs for members and guests.
* Stay up-to-date with Standard Operating Procedures and provide guidance to members and guests as needed.
Requirements
* Possession of a valid Pool/Lifeguard certification is essential.
* Availability to work midweek and from 6am to 10pm is required.
* Garda vetting would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are essential.
* A friendly and outgoing personality is necessary.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Possession of a Pool Plant qualification would be beneficial.
