Associate - Operations
We are seeking an Associate to join our Operations team, led by the Chief Operating Officer. The Operations team is responsible for four key functions: treasury & banking, reconciliation, trade settlement, and trading line management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serving as a subject matter expert for our new Treasury platform, with a focus on extracting maximum value from its functionality.
* Troubleshooting issues and owning the relationship with our third-party vendor.
* Suggesting and designing new workflow automations.
* Understanding beneficial ownership within deal structures and specific strategies to determine types of accounts needed in various markets.
* Overseeing external bank and custody account creations and dissolutions.
* Managing the New Entity process, collaborating with Middle Office, Tax, and Legal groups.
* Validating earned interest and debit interest charged.
* Designing and socializing monthly bank assessments to optimize cash balances.
* Setting up and maintaining static data accounts within the Treasury ecosystem.
* Authenticating and setting up business vendors.
* Monitoring fund liquidity levels and ensuring they satisfy agreed covenants.
* Collaborating with the Compliance team to maintain fund regulatory information.
* Issuing and responding to daily margin calls and investigating disputed amounts.
* Creating and linking margin agreements within TriOptima.
* Ensuring the accuracy of fund administrator cash account balances, which impact the funds' NAVs.
Requirements:
* Rélevant degree: Business / accounting
* Experience in treasury at a buy-side institution, ideally between 5 and 10 years
* Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Experience with industry treasury platforms/SWIFT is preferred
* Knowledge of fixed income products is beneficial
* Process-improvement oriented with ability to collaborate with IT to drive business initiatives
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
