Clinical Specialist Radiographer Ultrasound

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
* Clinical Operations:
o Lead the Ultrasound service as team leader, ensuring effective utilisation of resources on a day-to-day basis.
o Ensure the quality of the service provided, including customer service and technical aspects.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols and guidelines.
* Quality Assurance:
o Investigate and take appropriate action in accordance with hospital policy in relation to complaints, accidents and incidents.
o Implement and maintain a quality assurance programme in the Ultrasound department.
* Other duties assigned that are appropriate to the post.
Person Specification
* Qualifications:
o BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
o Post graduate Ultrasound diploma desirable.
* Experience:
o A minimum of 6 years experience in the chosen modality or a post graduate qualification in the modality plus a minimum of 3 years experience.
* Job Specific Competencies and Knowledge:
o Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations.
o Have a proven ability to work under pressure.
o Have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
