JOB PURPOSE: To assist in provision of care to our Residents and work as part of a team to achieve excellent standards.To ensure Clients retain their dignity and individuality.To be involved in the general activities of the Nursing Home.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS: You must have a:
Genuine interest in working within a Caring EnvironmentAbility to communicate effectively at all levelsWillingness to be a team playerFETEC/NFQ 5 or equivalent and a willingness to participate in training and developmentMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Care:
Ensure the highest levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting Clients with daily living activities.Assist Clients in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional, and spiritual), ensuring comfort and dignity.Pay particular attention to assisting Clients with limited mobility or learning difficulties.Closely monitor Clients who may be confused or have behavioral problems.Assist in the promotion of continence and care for Clients who are dying or have a progressive illness.Participate in social activities by interacting with Clients and helping them continue with hobbies.Answer Nurse call system and assist as required, while also managing phone and visitor inquiries.Report on the wellbeing of Clients under the supervision of senior Care Staff.Carry out regular checks on Clients at intervals determined by senior Staff Members.Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of rooms and assist with laundry as needed.Ensure Nursing Home resources are used appropriately and maintain cleanliness of equipment.Ensure full privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and bereaved.Assist Clients during meal times, being aware of dietary requirements.Escort Clients during outings or hospital visits.Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Clients' personal and financial affairs.At Trinity Care we're like one big family and treat each of our residents, families, and team members with the same levels of passion, care, and respect.
