Role Title: HR Administrator

A temporary, 2 year full time vacancy has arisen for a HR Administrator. The successful candidate will work to meet the needs of our colleagues and support the people practices within Vhi, this person will be part of a busy People Services (HR) team managing the administrative and operational activities associated with all aspects of the employee life cycle.
This person will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administration support to employees across our organisation and the wider HR team. This person will form part of the People Services team and will work in partnership with their wider HR peer group to support the wider Group HR team in delivering a best-in class colleague experience through the optimisation of people, structures, processes and culture with the goal of achieving business results.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Assist with the preparation of data for payroll processing
* Support the development, implementation and coordination of HR system upgrades
* Assist with the review and development of HR policies and procedures
* Preparation of HR MI reports and analysis of data as required
* Maintenance and updating of employee records
* Support day to day HR administration
* HR mailbox management
* Meet deadlines to ensure critical people processes are met
* Managing contractors and temporary workers
* Support the management of statutory leave
* Managing people governance activities including Garda Vetting, Professional Accreditation renewals
* Respond to day to day colleague queries
* Participate in wider HR team projects as required
Skills and Abilities:
* Strong administration skills and strong attention to detail
* High degree of flexibility & ability to work on own initiative
* Proven organisational and planning skills.
* Strong IT skills in particular ability to use MS Office Suite
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent team player with the ability to build excellent working relationships
* Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Education & Experience:
* Third level qualification in Business and/or HR (minimum degree level)
* Demonstrates awareness of HR best practice
* HR experience would be beneficial
* Previous experience of working with a HR database (preferably Core HR)
