Description of Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain specialist with experience in international procurement, supply chain, freight management, and logistics to join a scale-up organization with excellent success to date and ambitious growth plans. Our client is an Irish company selling a range of consumer health and development products internationally. Due to expansion and additional investment, they are now actively seeking to develop their supply chain function and take on a supply chain specialist/manager to take responsibility for leading and managing the Procurement and Supply Chain function.
Requirements:
1. Ideally candidates will have a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Management, or equivalent, together with 8 years+ industry experience.
2. Experience of leading supply chain ideally in an FMCG or Consumer Healthcare organization.
3. Experience working with a scale-up/growing organization.
4. Excellent ability to work with cross-functional teams up to and including C-suite level.
5. Experience of financial budgetary management and control.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Drive effective sales and manufacturing forecast accuracy within Procurement & Supply Chain.
2. Design and implement planning tools and processes to implement an S&OP internal process to aid effective partnering between sales and manufacturing.
3. Profitably source, negotiate, and procure all delivered products, in line with pre-agreed supply chain timelines and requirements.
4. Maintain optimal inventory levels in our distribution centres (3PL & 4PL) and with our commercial partners (retailers & distributors) in country and internationally.
5. Lead and manage end-to-end order processing for both B2B and D2C channels.
6. Develop a business partnering plan with 3PL, retailers, distributors, and internal teams to maintain stock accuracy and deliver exceptional customer service.
7. Analyse supply chain data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased operational efficiency.
8. Manage and optimize the flow of raw materials and finished goods in collaboration with contract manufacturers and OEMs, covering warehousing, transportation, and distribution logistics.
9. Set, manage, and optimize all supply chain contracts with suppliers, ensuring cost-efficiency, high quality, and adherence to or exceeding timeline and service level expectations.
10. Lead on customer or supplier complaints matters relating to end-to-end product delivery.
