Process Technician - County Kildare
Job Summary:
A highly skilled Process Technician is required to monitor daily production processes, optimize tool set-up and change-over activities, and ensure the timely resolution of process escalations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute equipment set-ups and tool changeovers as part of production runs.
* Monitor process start-ups and carry out process monitoring during runs to achieve production targets.
* Take ownership of process escalations to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner using a systematic approach to root cause problem-solving.
* Support the development and improvement of existing processes through advanced troubleshooting.
* Support continuous improvement and new projects.
* Where appropriate, support the development of documentation, training, and work instruction activities.
* Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping to ensure area, machines, and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
* Ensure compliance with Quality and GMP requirements and adherence to all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of Engineering, Mechanics, and/or Electronics with relevant qualifications in one of those disciplines.
* Excellent technical capabilities.
* Ability to apply a scientific approach to problem solving, blending analytical and experimental skills to maximise productivity.
* Previous relevant work experience in a plastics production environment in a technical role.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
* Experience of statistical process control an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree level in Polymer Processing or similar.
