Digital Communications Officer
Alternatives is delighted to be partnering with a leading not for profit body on their programme focused on advancing Global Citizenship Education in primary schools across Ireland.
This role is being offered on a hybrid basis, (1 day onsite). This is a part time role, 4 days (29.6 hours) and is for a specific purpose contract duration – The funding will role until August 2026.
As the Digital and Communications Officer, you will play a key role in raising the programme's visibility through strategic digital and traditional communications. Working with the Programme Manager and team, you will deliver engaging content across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate will:
* Develop and implement a communications strategy across digital and traditional media.
* Create and manage engaging social media campaigns and multimedia content.
* Support email campaigns, website updates, and UX/SEO best practices.
* Analyse digital performance and report on key metrics.
* Collaborate with partners and integrate digital content into events and workshops.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years in digital communications, including multimedia content and WordPress CMS.
* Strong writing, social media management, and content creation skills.
* Experience with Meta ads, planning, and organizing.
* Qualifications: Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent.
