About the Role
As we continue to expand our services to meet the needs of those we care for, we have opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division in County Longford. This role is Person in Charge, providing support and ensuring our service meets government and health standards.
Purpose of the Role
The Manager will work autonomously and with initiative, acting as the Person in Charge for existing services. They must comply with regulations and HIQA Standards. Experience working with autism is preferred.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in management or supervision in health or social care.
* A relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Social or Health Care, along with a Level 6 Management qualification.
* A proven track record of managing a residential service meeting quality and regulatory requirements.
* A full current driving license and access to a vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service.
2. Participate in direct care to individuals, following established care plans and protocols.
3. Assist in assessing individual needs and developing care plans.
4. Ensure implementation of care interventions and monitor progress.
Training & Development
* Assist in training and orienting new care team members.
* Organise and facilitate training programs and workshops for the team.
Compliance & Documentation
* Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and assessments.
* Monitor completion of required documentation by team members.
Quality Assurance
* Implement quality improvement initiatives.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Communication & Collaboration
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Promote effective communication and teamwork.
