Reports to Tax Manager and Associate Director
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for efficient and timely tax filings of alternative investment structures and the management of the audit process in relation to tax while supporting Aztec Ireland’s tax management team along with supporting the Luxembourg tax team.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of Irish tax returns, the calculation of tax provisions and the review of tax assessments.
2. Maintain appropriate records of our clients’ tax affairs, the work we provide on their behalf and associated filings.
3. Ability to plan and prioritise work streams.
4. Communicate efficiently and effectively on tax matters with team members.
5. Consistently and comprehensively follow Aztec’s internal control framework and processes.
6. Assist in the preparation of Luxembourg corporate tax returns, VAT returns and subscription tax returns.
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
1. Relevant degree/qualification in a relevant field such as tax, accounting, finance, business, economics.
2. Between 0 to 2 years' experience in a similar position.
3. Attention to detail to ensure the delivery of consistent and high standards.
4. Ability to plan and organise yourself to meet challenging deadlines.
5. Good understanding of technical accounting.
6. Ability to learn quickly and work within a team under the guidance of a manager.
7. Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and MS Outlook.
9. Fluency in English, as well as other European languages, is advantageous.
