The Shearwater Hotel is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and energetic Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our vibrant team.
Objectives:
* Deliver Exceptional Service: Ensure every guest experience is unforgettable.
* Oversee Housekeeping: Manage daily tasks including room cleaning, public areas, and function rooms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Immaculate Presentation: Always maintain a polished appearance.
* Lead by Example: Inspire your team with a hands-on approach.
* Daily Briefings: Keep the team updated on hotel activities.
* Coordinate Duties: Step in for the Manager when needed.
* Maintain Cleanliness: Oversee and assist with cleaning and organizing.
* Lost Property: Ensure procedures are followed.
* Room Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Liaise on Maintenance: Communicate with the Accommodation Manager on issues.
* Timely Room Preparation: Ensure priority and arrival rooms are ready.
* Training: Attend required programs.
* Health & Safety: Adhere to policies.
* Guest Complaints: Report issues to the Accommodation Manager.
* Organize Storerooms: Keep housekeeping areas neat and stocked.
* Security: Safeguard guest belongings and company property.
* Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills.
* Organizational Skills: Excellent organization.
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of hospitality/tourism.
* Experience: Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
