Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Monaghan. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team providing essential services to children with disabilities and their families.
About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapist with the CDNT, you will play a key role in assessing and delivering interventions that support children with complex needs to enhance their independence and quality of life. You will work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop tailored therapy plans that promote participation in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities for the Occupational Therapist:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions for children with a range of disabilities.
* Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
* Provide education, support, and advice to families and caregivers to enhance therapy outcomes.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service planning and development.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Relevant experience working with children with disabilities (desirable but not essential for staff grade roles).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for family-centred and evidence-based care.
* Full drivers licence and access to a car (desirable but not essential).
