Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the manufacturing methods, materials, and tooling within our facility.
This involves identifying daily opportunities for improvement from within the manufacturing team and executing projects based on our strategic manufacturing plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) activities at our site by seeking out and executing opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
* Manage the CI process locally and participate globally to drive value for our organization.
* Provide support to site personnel in Lean Manufacturing, including training, Kaizen facilitation, and savings analysis.
* Support the Manufacturing Manager with local facilities engineering and support.
* Solve process, product, and tool defects to determine root cause and resolution.
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and optimising facility layout, workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* Communicate new or modified manufacturing processes and apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to new equipment and processes.
* Recommend capital expenditure analysis for capital equipment.
* Audit manufacturing processes and established procedures to ensure adherence.
* Assist in conducting supplier qualification audits.
* Participate in company safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
* At least 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, preferably involving custom-engineered products.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of LEAN manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Background in biotech or chemical industry or experience with custom-designed process equipment.
* Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI).
* Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
