Project Background:
Through the project, our client is driving an alignment and elevation of product lifecycle and master data management across its global business. This role will help deliver on project commitments and transition into steady-state business operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyze the current state of master data and craft a go-forward strategy in alignment with stakeholders and corporate needs.
2. Support the project Global Roll plan and execution by defining the data migration policy, coordinating execution of the data migration, and defining methods for data verification.
3. Work with organizational stakeholders to define, document, and harmonize data quality rules, policies, approval processes, and critical metrics.
4. Solve complex problems involving data requirements, architecture, and strategy decisions.
5. Lead the Data Governance Council and process.
6. Communicate reporting, information, and build relationships with domain experts and business partners.
7. Maintain data quality using customer feedback, reporting metrics, and implementing corrections.
8. Define methods and perform data validation testing and periodic audits for data quality.
9. Recommend consistent business naming standards and develop data definitions and business rules.
10. Become a trusted resource for data quality and maintain consistent use of data resources across the organization.
11. Advocate and educate employees on data stewardship and best practices.
12. Ensure compliance and security of data while providing information on potential risks.
13. Identify opportunities for improvement of tools and processes.
14. Manage and develop employees.
Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
2. 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated environment.
3. Prior experience in leading data operations in a fast-paced work environment.
4. Experience in leading and implementing a global data migration process.
5. Experience with complex data relationships and effective communication across diverse teams.
6. Recent experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tools.
7. Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and data flows to/from ERP systems (SAP).
8. Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, and Product Life Cycle Management.
9. Effective collaboration with cross-functional business units.
10. Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
11. Ability to solve complex problems and be innovative.
12. Comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
13. Flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
