Our investment banking client is looking for a highly skilled Tester to join our team on-site, working on a critical Investran upgrade programme with a specific focus on data migration. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major transformation project, ensuring that the systems are upgraded to meet the evolving needs of the business. You will be responsible for testing the accuracy, integrity, and functionality of the upgraded Investran platform and overseeing the migration of data from legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute testing efforts for the Investran upgrade programme, with a primary focus on validating data migration processes.
* Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for all stages of the upgrade, including data migration and integration.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and project managers, to ensure data integrity and functionality of the upgraded system.
* Perform data mapping validation and ensure data flows from legacy systems to the upgraded Investran platform are accurate, complete, and meet business requirements.
* Conduct end-to-end testing of the Investran system, covering all core modules such as fund accounting, investor reporting, and performance tracking, ensuring the upgrade is seamless and without disruption.
* Work closely with the data migration team to ensure that data is appropriately extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) into the new system.
* Identify, report, and track defects related to both system functionality and data migration, ensuring prompt resolution.
* Perform regression testing to ensure that the upgrade does not impact existing functionality.
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT), working closely with business users to validate system functionality post-upgrade.
* Document test results, prepare test status reports, and escalate any critical issues to the project team.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and strategies, ensuring optimal testing coverage and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in software testing within the investment banking or financial services industry.
* Strong experience with Investran, particularly in the areas of fund accounting, investor reporting, and performance reporting.
* Extensive experience in data migration testing, including data validation, mapping, and verification processes.
* Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, as well as associated tools.
* Solid understanding of financial systems and data flows, particularly in fund administration, accounting, and investor relations.
* Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a strong ability to work in a collaborative environment.
* Strong SQL skills for data validation and testing purposes.
* Experience in performing regression testing, integration testing, and supporting UAT efforts.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
* ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
* Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
* Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or similar defect tracking and test management tools.
* Knowledge of API testing and integration with third-party systems is desirable.
