This role encompasses comprehensive financial management, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and implementing robust financial controls to drive operational efficiency and profitability.The right candidate needs to be able to take responsibility for the whole finance function. They should be solution orientated, proactive and be able to demonstrate experience of autonomously managing a Finance function in a past role. Hospitality experience is a must in order to hit the ground running.This is a fast-paced environment that requires delivery of the weekly reports/dashboard for the CEO, processing the weekly payroll, managing cashflow, as well as delivering the monthly accounts, implementing controls and managing budgets.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the full cycle of accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close procedures.Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and capital expenditure budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Conduct variance analysis on budget versus actual performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.Managing cashflow for all locations within the Group.Audit and Compliance:Lead internal and external audits, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Implement and monitor internal control procedures to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiencies.Income Stream Oversight:Monitor and analyse diverse income streams from both hotel and gastro pub operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.Develop and create financial reports that provide insights into performance across all revenue-generating areas, including room sales, food and beverage sales, and events.Forecast financial trends based on historical data and current performance metrics, providing actionable insights to management.Generate and present comprehensive financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts to the executive team and stakeholders.Utilize financial modelling techniques to assess the viability of new projects and investments within the hospitality sector.Cost Control and Efficiency:Monitor departmental expenses and implement cost-control initiatives to optimize operational efficiency across both hotels and gastro pubs.Analyse labour costs and productivity metrics to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and service levels.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with departmental heads, including Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to provide financial insights that support strategic planning and decision-making.Act as a liaison between finance and operational teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience in the hospitality industry, particularly with hotels and gastro pubs.In-depth knowledge of hospitality financial management, operational performance metrics, and income analysis.Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proficient in written and spoken English.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustriesAutomation Machinery Manufacturing
