Job Title: Senior Ecologist (Principal, Associate & Associate Director levels are available too, please reach out to know more)
Location: Several areas across Ireland. Although remote options are available, applicants MUST BE previously based in Ireland or the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct and lead a wide range of ecological surveys, including but not limited to Ornithological surveys (e.g., breeding bird surveys, wintering bird surveys) and Non-ornithological surveys (e.g., habitat and vegetation surveys, bat surveys, freshwater and terrestrial mammal surveys).
* Prepare high-quality ecological reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related documentation.
* Habitat management plans, biodiversity action plans, and other specialized ecological reports.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, including acting as a line manager where applicable.
* Engage with relevant authorities and stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
* Ensure compliance with Irish and EU ecological legislation and best practices.
* Contribute to project planning and delivery, ensuring ecological considerations are integrated.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of professional ecological experience within the Irish or British environmental sectors.
* Proven fieldwork expertise with the ability to lead surveys independently.
* Strong technical report writing skills with a demonstrable portfolio of completed EIAs and other ecological reports.
* Experience in mentoring and managing junior staff is advantageous.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Irish and UK ecological legislation and guidelines.
* Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Full clean Irish/UK/EU driver's license.
