Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer in Cork with expertise in 3D modelling to join our team in the marine and industrial engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fluid mechanics and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing engineering design and project management activities, reporting directly to the Engineering Director. This role will involve working within the framework of our ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 45001 OH&S Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for the successful execution of projects, encompassing design, planning, pricing, quality, environmental, safety, installation and commissioning.
* Developing and maintaining customer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
* Managing sub-contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Providing regular updates to the management team on project progress and key metrics, including budgets and schedules.
* Allocating resources efficiently to operations and production to meet business objectives.
* Designing and managing projects in line with the company's activities in the storage and handling of bulk liquids, primarily in fuel handling and filtration.
* Familiarity with the company's Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in SOP 03.
* Reporting on the performance of the QEHS Management system to management for review and improvement purposes.
* Attending management review meetings to stay informed and contribute to decision-making processes.
* Identifying and reporting non-conformities and corrective actions in accordance with SOP 10 - Non-Conformity, Corrective and Improvement.
* Conducting monthly health and safety and environmental site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Awareness of the Company's legal requirements to ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Environmental obligations during work activities.
* Familiarity with SOP12 for Waste Management and ensuring that all waste generated during works is properly identified and disposed of.
