About The Role
We're seeking a Frontend Engineer to help us build the interfaces to our gifting platform. This role works alongside the Product, Engineering and Design teams.
&Open's Engineering team is a multidisciplinary group of software engineers, UX designers and technical architects. Together, our task is to build the best gifting platform in the world. We obsess over the details, the connections and touchpoints. We use modern tooling to develop refined and reliable code.
What you'll do?
* Build- You will be part of our development team, which is responsible for the web front-end that powers our clients' products and services.
* Collaborate- You'll work closely with product, design and backend teams to build new features and implement web technology targeting the most modern browsers. Our backend is built with Ruby on Rails.
* Visualise- Development of graphs, dashboards, and visualisations of user and logistics activity.
* Innovate- We aim for continuous improvement, and you'll be encouraged to bring that to all aspects of your work.
What You'll Need
* 2+ years experience as a frontend/JavaScript/TypeScript engineer
* Experience with client-side frameworks, specifically React.js
* Experience building data-driven web applications and consuming information from APIs
* Understanding of computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design and data structures
* Experience working with visual designers in product development
* Good knowledge of modern web technologies and CSS techniques
* Experience of working in an Agile environment
* The ability to write clean, maintainable code
* Good debugging and diagnostic skills
