Sanderson are partnering with a well-established solicitors in Kildare to recruit for the permanent position of Accounts Manager, this role is full-time onsite.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the firm's Client & Office banks, including processing online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, recording all bank transactions on the accounts system, and reconciling all banks.
* Maintain all aspects of petty cash.
* Handle accounts payable by recording supplier invoices, managing supplier payments, and addressing any supplier queries.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses.
* Handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support where required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing necessary journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Liaise with the firm's external financial advisors and auditors.
Requirements
* Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems (preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System)
* Knowledge of VAT rates and VAT reporting obligations
* Familiar with online banking processes
* Knowledge of solicitors accounts regulations
* A proactive and professional attitude
* Capable of working on own initiative
* Ability to deal with staff members at all levels
