There has never been a more exciting time to join the team and we are delighted to be recruiting for a Head of Security.
Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, the Head of Security will be responsible for the daily operations of security to protect and secure the hotel property, guests and employees as well as ensuring compliance with Adare Manor Operating Standards to maintain company integrity.
Operational Responsibilities
1. Establish procedures to prevent/minimise the loss from theft and other safety risks and maintain audit reports and records on all loss and safety incidents, recommending and if necessary implementing system or procedure changes arising from information learned during investigations.
2. Train/educate all team members on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all Company loss control policies and current security and safety regulations.
3. Manage the daily operation of security to achieve or exceed budget expectations.
4. Ensure compliance with the regulations and licensing standards as set down by the Private Security Authority (PSA).
5. Ensure that operational equipment used by the security team is all functioning correctly and that any defects are reported and rectified in a timely manner, maintaining traceable records of monitoring systems.
6. Protect the guests, employees and owners' assets and well-being at all times as per standard operating procedures.
7. Proactively maintain and control the operating costs of the security department whilst maintaining standards set by the security department SOP, liaising with the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
8. Assume the role of Health & Safety Officer ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to, regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
9. Assume the role of GDPR Officer monitoring and coordinating the Company's compliance with the GDPR and internal data protection policies and procedures.
10. Ensure the safety of all guests, employees and visitors by ensuring security personnel regularly patrol all areas of the Resort, monitoring activities and preventing theft, vandalism etc. whether deliberate, reckless or by accident.
11. Investigate any allegations of crime/breaches within the hotel in a professional, objective and caring manner, having empathy for all victims and providing any assistance that may be required in accordance with the Security SOPs ensuring that a full report is presented to the General Manager, Facilities & Engineering Manager (& HRD Director in relation to employee breaches) within 24 hours of the incident.
12. Ensure all matters of security, health and safety or any information that could result in the injury, loss of life, loss of property, damage (whether accidental or otherwise) to guests, employees, visitors or owners of Adare Manor are fully investigated and reported as per the Security SOPs.
13. Act impartially and professionally when called upon to carry out duties and ensure that all persons are treated with respect and courtesy.
14. Assist in Tournament & General Event Planning ensuring the Guest Experience, Security, Safety and Satisfaction is prioritised throughout the event planning and execution stages.
