We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team based at our MEDITE MDF Facility in Clonmel.
ROLE:
Responsible for inputs and amendments to orders on the order processing system. Booking transport to ensure on time delivery to customers. Co- Ordinate administration in the Market Support office. Liaise and support the sales offices daily. Report on various functions within the market support function.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Sales order processing from Receipt of Order in our ERP to the OTIF delivery of goods. Support Sales Offices with accurate information, produces and send order confirmations to customers etc.
* Manage orders for specific export contracts outside EU and UK.
* Knowledge of customs clearance documentation.
* Arranging the correct transport for orders to ensure timely delivery to customers, allocating the stocks and informing the transport companies.
* Freight costs are controlled, and orders are delivered using designated costed carriers.
* Support Sales offices and the Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor with all queries re deliveries and logistics issues ensuring complete support for the Sales/Marketing and Logistics offices.
* Communicating and responding to problems and queries, monitor and track performances in an efficient and timely manner.
* Ensure stock is allocated to orders to fulfil shipping schedules.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Procedures
* Have / develop knowledge and experience of documents required for exports outside the EU. Particularly the ROW market.
* Report to Logistics & Market Support Manager or designate any discrepancies affecting service and deliveries, other issues as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Qualification in relevant discipline i.e., Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Transport or Manufacturing.
* Knowledge and interest in Supply Chain, particularly sales, warehousing and inventory.
* Understanding the importance of timely responses to the customer with accurate information and supporting sales operations.
* Self-starter in dealing with shipping companies, i.e., communicating, responding to problems and queries in efficient and timely manner.
* Excellent verbal and reporting skills.
* An ability to work on their own and within a team in order to achieve responsibilities.
* Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
* Full understanding of SOP’s, Forest Certification Standards, etc.
* Experience of Syspro would be an advantage.
