Job Summary:
You will be joining an Apple retail business that covers the Irish and UK markets, with 20 stores across Ireland and the UK. The Irish market plays a very important role in the business.
As Store Manager, you will represent the best of the company. You will be responsible for establishing a consistent, efficient, and high performing store and maintaining the high standards required within an Apple Premium Reseller.
Responsibilities and Duties:
These include, but are not limited to:
* Positively influence at all levels in the organisation and demonstrate credibility and maturity in the role.
* Communicate and reinforce our retail strategy across all store management, ensuring all individuals understand the impact of this on their store and the role their store plays in the local community.
* Develop and drive the Store revenue to achieve and/or exceed budget and manage all associated costs in line with the budget parameters.
* Provide encouragement and leadership, ensuring revenue budgets are achieved and costs managed within budget parameters.
* Coach and develop your own Store management team.
* Deliver an engaging customer experience for sales and service in your own Store.
* Provide constructive and candid feedback to the Retail Sales Manager IRL on areas of development in the business.
* Liaise and provide constructive feedback to the marketing team and Retail Sales Manager IRL on what does/does not work well or what is required to aid meeting the sales budget for the store.
* Lead and/or help shape the future retail and/or service strategy, by providing relevant/candid feedback that amplifies the store's market dominance and supports overall development/market leadership.
* Lead (or work with Apple) on innovation/first to market concepts in our store to deliver true retail theatre and landmark retail concepts.
* Ensure weekly schedules for interactive engagement with group audiences to build customer engagement/brand loyalty to Apple.
* Be the first point of customer escalation within the store.
* Liaise with the Management company to ensure we conform to all landlord requirements and build a future working relationship with the centre management.
* General management for all store related maintenance to ensure it is legally compliant along with being Apple audit ready compliant.
* Act as cover in the absence of the Retail Sales Manager IRL.
* Participate in the weekly managers' conference calls with the other store managers focusing on revenue and costs.
* Carry out all requests/tasks from the Retail Sales Manager IRL with passion and clarity.
* Assist retail operations on store merchandising and Apple store audits.
General Duties:
The day-to-day operation of your own store.
Skills & Competencies Required:
* Knowledge of best practice, retail theatre (experiences), and effective strategies in retail.
* Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with all touch points.
* Strong organisational and management skills with a core focus on attention to detail.
* Ability to spot and read retail trends and utilise any data available to assist.
* Natural leader with an ability to coach and inspire.
* Patience and an ability to work under pressure and time restraints.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years' Retail Management experience.
* Knowledge of 'Consumer Protection Act 2007'
* Competent negotiation skills.
* An understanding of what our 'Service' proposition is and how it plays an integral part of the overall business offering.
* Desirable but not essential to hold (current) and/or undertake the ACiT/ACMT/ACSP certifications for a better understanding of the business.
