Our experienced and multicultural teams are experts in areas of Global Compliance and Reporting Solutions (GCRS) and, Flexible People Solutions, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Global Payroll Solutions (GPS) operating through our Centre of Excellence in Ireland .Grant Thornton Global Payroll Solutions team is a group of dedicated specialists who are focused on providing Global payroll solutions to our clients.This role will suit an experienced, motivated payroll professional who is willing and interested in further developing their career in all aspects of Global Payroll Solutions.You will be working as part of our managed service team with our member firms in the Grant Thornton network to deliver payroll services to small, medium and large multinational companies across the globe.Main duties and responsibilitiesIndependently lead teams to onboard new clients, transitioning their payroll from current providers to Grant Thornton's payroll service, leveraging the international network of Grant Thornton firms. The Manager will need to be able to work independently and manage several projects at the same time.Lead and manage payroll projects, and client on-boarding ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Act as the primary point of contact for all project communications to all stakeholders, organise and run calls (internal and external), kick off meetings, project status meetings etc.Management of the client during projects and guiding them through the technical payroll aspects of onboarding in a professional, clear manner, including any changes to the scope of work and delivery schedule.Effectively plan projects and gather requirements to define and set up agreed client payroll processes, establishing all payroll and data needsDevelopment and maintaining of project documentation including project plans, timelines, and milestones.Oversee and ensure delivery of accurate payroll and payment testing.Coordinate and manage multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution, involving both Grant Thornton and external client teams at operational and senior management levels.Monitor project progress and adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.Management and mitigation of project risks and issues, providing solutions and recommendations.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll.Recruitment, development and training team members.Supporting clients in short term project engagements, payroll audits and short-term staff shortages.Billing and client take on administration.Involvement in client proposalsRequired essential skills / attributesProven track record of successfully implementing payroll solutions and project management.Ability and interest in client-facing project managementExcellent computer skills (MS Office) including strong excel skills.High level of attention to detailExperience managing multiple deadlines.A strong sense of responsibility and confidentialityStrong, articulate communication skillsAbility to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments.Strong analytical and problem-solving Highly organised and efficientGood interpersonal skillsExperience in people management.Stakeholder management including communication and influencing.Desirable skills / attributesPayroll qualification or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalentExposure to international and high-volume payrolls.Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing including benefits administration, share based remuneration, statutory payroll regulations and payroll journal entries.Experience in automation projects.Experience in the recruitment of staff.Equity, diversity and inclusionAt Grant Thornton, we provide equitable opportunities for all our colleagues.
