Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to
· Be responsible for the preparation and administration of daily clinics, duties include; booking appointments, recording outcomes and reconciling clinics for the Spina Bifida Service including psychology services
· Ensure that referrals received are recorded and managed on the patient administration system (Ipims) in a timely manner in accordance with the OSPIP Guidelines
· Act as liaison between clinical team and patient.
· Act as liaison person between patient and clinical team.
· Provide cover and administration support to the Spina Bifida administration teams as required.
· Provide secretarial support to the Consultant led multidisciplinary team.
· Attend MDT meetings and record minutes.
Essential Criteria: · Have at least three years secretarial/administrative experience (two of which should be relevant hospital/healthcare experience)
· Typing skills and a knowledge of computer packages eg.
Word/excel
· Knowledge of Patient Administrative Systems
Desirable Criteria: Previous experience using hospital patient administration system, IPims Waiting List management experience
