Role Overview
Due to the development of new and existing projects, we are excited to be recruiting for Quantity Surveyors with a minimum of 2 years experience who will be based in Tubbercurry, Sligo or Oranmore, Galway on multiple projects.
Working alongside an extensively experienced commercial team, you will assist the team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns, and managing risk.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiating & finalising subcontract orders, and financial & commercial management of subcontractors to Final Account completion.
2. Managing and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control.
3. Liaising with & commercially influencing/challenging the site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement.
4. Managing & overseeing Assistant Quantity Surveyors & Trainee Quantity Surveyors, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues.
Your Qualifications:
1. 2+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential/commercial construction projects.
2. A relevant 3rd level qualification.
3. 2+ years’ experience in report writing, forecast planning, and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
