Title: Social & Recreational Support Worker
Hours: Part time (19.5 hrs per week). Please note this role requires evening and weekend work.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary/Grade: Pro rata of €33,699 - €46,984 as of 01 st March 2025 payscales (pro rata as salary shown represents full time hours)

The Social & Recreational Support Worker supports adults with severe/profound intellectual disabilities and additional support needs living in the service, to achieve the good things in life through the provision of a comprehensive programme that supports each person to have choice and control in their life, fulfil their social, cultural, and recreational needs, develop and maintain personal relationships, and opportunities to develop meaningful social roles and links with the wider community.
The focus will be within a social model of support, ensuring that each adult has opportunities to participate in meaningful activities, appropriate to his/her interests and preferences and that reflect his/her needs, interests, and capacities.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work days, evenings, and weekends as part of their rostered shifts.

Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:
* Minimum desirable requirement is QQI level 5 Certificate, preferably in health care, community care, care for people with disabilities.
* Experience in a similar environment supporting adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
* Full clean manual driver's license required.
* Flexibility around working hours to include days, evenings and weekends.
