will report to the Wholesale Manager and will be responsible for managing a
broad range of activities that support Three’s Wholesale business. Primarily
responsible for the analysis & reconciliation of international roaming
traffic & the accompanying tasks. Negotiation and
management of local bi-lateral roaming agreements with smaller operators to
ensure that Three roaming business requirements are met. The role will also be
responsible for tracking costs against budget and supporting project delivery
where necessary.Providing
support to our MVNO “48” and our Internet of Things (IOT) with regards interconnect
and roaming services and budget lines.Critical to
success is effective team working with multiple stakeholders within Three
Ireland, CK Hutchison Group and our roaming partners. Strong attention to
detail & an analytical approach to problem solving is essential. The
successful individual should have strong commercial
and/or financial experience. Knowledge of wholesale telecoms, interconnect,
roaming or MVNO’s would be an advantage.What else it
involves:Responsible for performing on going
analysis of International roaming wholesale traffic patterns, and building
an understanding of trends to ensure cost/revenue flows are in line with
expectation and that cost/revenue targets are achievedResponsible for implementation and
tracking of roaming agreements. Understand
the make-up of Three roaming agreements and ensuring that commitments are
being achieved inbound and outbound as per agreement.Responsible for formulating annual
roaming budget, tracking performance and updating as part of business
quarterly reforecasting process.From time to time there will be a
requirement to represent Three Ireland within CK Hutchison Roaming Group
(representative group for all Three OPCOS in Europe and Asia), ensuring
that Three Ireland business objectives are represented.Manage supplier contracts and
ensuring that Three are receiving the most value for money for supply of
services. As required provide support to
other Wholesale/Business Projects.Responsible for putting the
necessary alerts in place to trigger potential fraudulent and/or arbitrage
activity and take corrective action as required.Assist with month end settlements
& reconciliations with roaming partnersMaintain all Opex & Capex
expenditure in line with budgets ; raise, track and accept PO’s as part of
managing department spend.Where ongoing supplier costs are
split across various MVNO’s the candidate will be responsible to put a
robust process in place to ensure costs are attributed correctly.The skills
we're looking for: The candidate
must have strong commercial acumen, must have a clear understanding of
profitability and the management of P&L, OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Some technical
acumen is also important; the candidate must be prepared to acquire a working
level understanding of wholesale telecoms so they can effectively liaise with
technical teams internally and externally as required.As the role
requires management of a diverse range of internal stakeholders and third party
suppliers, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.Minimum of 2 years in telecommunications industry, experience of wholesale telecoms, interconnect, roaming or the MNVO market would confer a distinct advantage.Experience in commercial/financial management and budget management.Experience in project management is beneficial.Educated to degree level or suitable equivalent experience.
