Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) role, in the School of Civil Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD). This is a 5-year position. The School is seeking applications from candidates with experience in teaching and with a sustained record of high-quality peer-reviewed research.
The School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent research and education. It has an international reputation as a centre for excellence for research and teaching, ranked in the global top 150 for 'Civil and Structural Engineering' (QS Global Rankings), ranking number 1 in Ireland. The School has a focus on strengthening its expertise in climate change, renewable energy, digital transformation and analytics. The School has world-leading researchers in its two research centres, the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research, and the Dooge Centre for Water Resources Research.
In 2018, the School launched an undergraduate dual degree programme in Civil Engineering Infrastructure, with Chang'an University, in Xi'an, China. This programme is now delivered within the Chang'an Dublin International College (CDIC). The successful candidate will have expertise in Bridge and/or Structural Engineering and will play a key role in the delivery of this programme, spending a trimester teaching in CDIC each year.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
