We are looking for an R&D Engineer to join a world leading technology company at their research centre in Dublin.
You specialise in graphics & game rendering to enhance mobile GPU performance & optimize rendering techniques.
The role involves developing scalable solutions for mobile gaming, addressing industry challenges, & researching algorithms to push the boundaries of real-time graphics.
As an R&D Engineer your responsibilities will include:
* Research & develop mobile graphics algorithms to enhance game performance & energy efficiency.
* Prototype new rendering techniques based on emerging industry trends.
* Analyze & implement computer graphics solutions to improve scalability & visual quality.
* Collaborate with game developers & technical artists to address rendering challenges.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in computer graphics & integrate relevant techniques into mobile gaming solutions.
* Engage with industry & academic partners to explore research collaborations.
As an R&D Engineer your skills will include:
* Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of rendering techniques, including shading, rasterization, & culling
* Proficiency in Vulkan, OpenGL ES, & shader programming; e.g. HLSL/GLSL
* Excellent C++ programming skills with 3+ years of experience in software development
* Hands-on experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine 4/5, or Godot
* Familiarity with graphics debugging tools; e.g. NVIDIA Nsight, PIX or RenderDoc
* Strong communication & teamwork skills, with experience in open-source collaboration
