Job Summary The Data Services team at NetApp helps customers protect and govern their data wherever it lives. We are responsible for driving preference for our primary storage platforms through a consolidated set of data protection and governance offerings.
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to contribute to the growth and evolution of data services products and capabilities primarily focused on Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), Data Protection products and Ransomware. The candidate is expected to work closely with field, product, engineering, product marketing, and customers to equip and enable them to tap the potential and success of the entire data services.
The success of this role depends on aligning customer, field, and company priorities to ensure that our data service brings more value to storage infrastructure while building and growing more subscription services.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead pre and post-sales technical enablement, supporting field teams with advanced product design to enhance deal success and customer satisfaction.
Conduct hands-on testing and documentation for custom configurations, and co-author use-case documentation alongside product marketing.
Develop and maintain sales tools such as TCO estimators and performance sizers and provide technical expertise for internal training content.
Advocate for the product at trade shows and conferences, create engaging content, and participate in specialized teams for targeted go-to-market strategies.
Act as a technical liaison for customer and partner escalations and play a key role in managing strategic customer relationships.
Oversee the technical aspects of early access programs, ensuring successful feature adoption and providing guidance on directed access initiatives.
Manage the product enhancement request process, influencing design and prioritization with a comprehensive understanding of technical and business considerations.
Collaborate with engineering and product management to develop new designs from concept to launch and lead technical market analysis to inform product decisions.
Job Requirements
3+ years of hyperscaler experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), this includes configuring network, compute and storage – MUST.
3+ Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role -MUST.
One -OR- more of the below:
3+ years of hands-on experience with storage solutions.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Data Protection solutions, including backup and disaster recovery solutions enabling to meet customers migration and DR requirements to secondary or low-cost data centers on-premises or cloud.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Ransomware protection and Data security solutions.
Good understanding cloud security guidelines, key management, certificate handling, ability to propose highly available solutions for local, zonal and regional HA.
Good understanding of cyber threats and data vulnerability.
Background in data security.
Experience in managing data breaches.
Experience in conducting data protection impact assessment.
Good understanding of a virtualization infrastructure VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, deployment of datastore for VM provisioning on various type of storage media VMFS block, NFS file shares or NVMe-TCP.
Good understanding of a database or VM administrator lifecycle.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong demonstrated experience with complex problem solving.
Customer obsession – demonstrated building a strong understanding of customer problems and building capabilities that help resolve their pain points.

Understanding of cyber recovery solutions – advantage.
Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP – huge advantage.
Familiarity with DORA and Bank of England requirements - advantage.
Experience operating within globally dispersed teams – advantage.
