Job Opportunity: Electrical Projects Technician
Our client is seeking an Electrical Projects Technician to join their team at a cement plant. This role involves managing and executing electrical projects, including preventive maintenance programs, equipment inspections, and commissioning. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success. Job Responsibilities:
1. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems run efficiently.
2. Engage with clients and subcontractors to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.
3. Draft electrical drawings and plans for project execution.
4. Scope and allocate project resources before the execution phase.
5. Inspect equipment to ensure health and safety standards are met.
6. Commission and test electrical projects to confirm successful operation.
7. Proactively identify and address issues to improve safety and operational efficiency.
8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, seeking approvals for necessary changes.
9. Maintain high professional standards and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
10. Organize and plan tasks efficiently to meet project goals and deadlines.
Job Requirements:
1. Qualified electrician with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent certification.
2. Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance or installation experience in a fixed-plant environment (preferably in heavy engineering).
3. Knowledge of industrial instrumentation installation and maintenance.
4. Proficient in containment and electrical installations.
5. Experience with motor control circuits is an advantage.
6. Experience working with HV motors and HV switchgear.
7. Familiarity with calibration of pressure, temperature, level, and analytical equipment.
8. Experience with weighing instrumentation and calibration processes.
