POSITION SUMMARY
This position will lead and manage the Packaging Department in GWWO along side current Packaging Manager. This position will ensure the department operates in a safe, efficient and compliant manner at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure the Department is adhering to Health & Safety policy’s and procedures at all times.
2. Perform risk assessments were required in relation to people and process.
3. Ensure that the schedule is achieved each week and justify when not achieved
4. Identify issues, document and close out asap.
5. Analysis opportunities for improvements, document and implement to achieve maximum output while being compliant and safe.
6. Reduce operational and material expenses related to area of responsibility
7. Manage a team of approx. 70+ people through regular feedback and 1:1’s
8. Hiring of new team members for Packaging
9. Ensure batches are released in the required time frame with the “right first time” approach
10. Develop the teams to be trained and competent in across the different lines and operations
11. Develop and maintain working relationship with cross-functional team
12. Minimize generation of deviations by ensuring that all relevant documentation is reflective of current process.
13. To provide on the floor support for troubleshooting processing issues and to lead manufacturing investigations into process deviations.
14. Manage QS activities for CAPA, EC, Periodic review, Deviations etc.
15. Manage the Packaging support team
16. Working along with Maintenance and Packaging Technical team
17. Provide regular reports and information for management
18. Other duties that may be assigned from management
PERSON SPECIFICATION
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
21. Knowledge and experience in SAP Production Modules
22. Good organizational skills
23. Flexibility
24. Results orientated
25. SME in packaging equipment
26. Previous experience with a supervisor or manager position
27. Compliant
28. Qualifications
29. Minimum of Degree or equivalent third level education or at least 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing role managing people
