Trinity College Dublin- an introduction Post SummaryThe School of Psychology is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Developmental Psychology (Full-Time) to join our collegiate and research-active staff team.
The appointed individual will deliver high quality teaching and project supervision to students on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and will help us build on our success as an internationally recognised, research- intensive University by conducting excellent research and building a research group to support this.
We particularly welcome applications from those with a teaching and research profile who are able to complement and build on our areas of research strength in the School.
In relation to Developmental Psychology, these include parenting and family processes, early cognition and language development, development of neurodiverse and neurotypical children, and youth mental health.
Successful applicants will have a PhD in psychology or a related discipline, with evidenced specialist expertise in the field of developmental psychology.
They will have a research profile commensurate with their career stage, evidenced by high-quality publications and the proven ability to attract external grant funding as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator.
They will have demonstrated the application of their work to professional and/or policy-related communities, with a particular focus on children and young people.
They will have experience of teaching to a high standard at the university level and will be committed to supporting an excellent student experience.
They will engage fully with the University's open science practices and will be willing to contribute to the highly collaborative, inter-disciplinary and collegiate environment within the School and to develop collaborations with colleagues across campus and externally.
