We are partnering with Edwards Vacuum to offer an exciting opportunity for a permanent Workshop Technician role.
Job Description
Edwards is seeking skilled Workshop Technicians to support the assembly, disassembly, and testing of vacuum pumps according to a weekly schedule. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members on corrective action reports as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
* Meet daily production targets for quality, volume, and efficiency.
* Collaborate with zone members and the Zone Leader to establish priorities and ensure customer deadlines are met.
* Inspect parts, assemblies, and systems against established criteria defined in Work Instructions, drawings, schematics, or technical data.
* Perform daily checks on calibrated tooling prior to use.
* Conduct leak tests and assist in troubleshooting leak test failures.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, following assigned tasks.
* Maintain a clean working area according to good housekeeping practices and 6S standards.
* Upkeep established quality and time standards, providing input for continuous improvement.
* Accurately complete all required paperwork according to work instructions.
Requirements
* 2nd or 3rd-level education in a mechanical or technical field preferred.
* Minimum 1 year's experience in manufacturing or a technical role.
* Ability to work with hand and power tools.
* Capability to read drawings, schematics, and published specifications.
* Flexibility to work shifts, willingness to be detail-oriented and faithful.
